Calvin Ridley is about to start his first season in a Jacksonville Jaguars jersey. If teammate Jamal Agnew is to be believed, the entire league should be wary of the wide receiver.

The past two seasons may have been anything but satisfying for Calvin Ridley.

In 2021, he announced after just a few games that he needed time off due to mental issues. For the 2022 season, he was suspended due to violations of the NFL’s betting guidelines.

Now the wide receiver, who is now under contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, is making a fresh start. During the preseason, Ridley is apparently making a big impression on his new team, with fellow wide receiver Jamal Agnew hardly able to stop raving about him.

“You just see it in the way he moves. His route running, he can run, he can catch anything you throw in his direction. He’s just different,” the pass receiver told “talkSPORT” enthusiastically.

If the 28-year-old is to be believed, opposing defences will have little fun with Ridley. “If you watch him out there, he’s a nightmare for any opposition player. In my opinion, nobody can guard him in this league,” Agnew continues.

Even in his rookie season, the former Falcons receiver made a splash with 821 receiving yards and ten touchdowns. Two years later, Ridley had his strongest season to date, scoring one fewer touchdown but catching 90 passes for 1,374 yards.
