Jacksonville Jaguars beat New York Jets – Zach Wilson again gives eight.

In the first game of the 16th NFL game day, the Jacksonville Jaguars clearly beat the New York Jets. The quarterback of the hosts is banned, while an uninvolved team has reason to celebrate.

Bad loss for the New York Jets. Head coach Robert Saleh’s team lost 19-3 to the Jacksonville Jaguars at home in the opener of the 16th NFL game day.

After an early field goal by Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein, the hosts were unable to get their offence running properly. Quarterback Zach Wilson, who already had to take a seat on the bench, was subbed out again. Backup Chris Streveler took his place, who put in a decent performance but was unable to generate any points.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, on the other hand, were quite different. Playmaker Trevor Lawrence consistently led his team down the field and put them in field goal position again and again. Jags kicker Riley Patterson put four of them on the scoreboard and played a decisive role in his team’s victory.

Bengals move on to playoffs

By the way, the only touchdown of the game came from quarterback Lawrence himself, who dove into the end zone from a yard out early in the second quarter.

In total, the 23-year-old completed 20 of 31 passes for 229 yards. Zach Wilson completed nine of 18 passes for just 92 yards and an interception, then had to leave the field. Backup Streveler finished with ten passes and 90 yards.

In the fight for the playoffs, the Jets have suffered a significant setback and are now only the third team in the AFC with seven wins and eight losses. The Jacksonville Jaguars, on the other hand, have moved up to second place with the same record.

By the way: The Cincinnati Bengals might have the biggest reason to celebrate. Thanks to the defeat of the Jets, the team is the third franchise in the AFC to automatically enter the playoffs.
