Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders is set to receive an exceptionally large payout from the NFL Players Association.
Shedeur Sanders fell far in the 2025 NFL Draft, not being selected until the fifth round, at pick 144, by the Cleveland Browns.
But the 24-year-old probably isn’t too upset about that anymore. Especially not when you take a look at the annual financial report from the NFLPA.
The report shows that from May 2025 to February 2026, Sanders received approximately $17.7 million from the union through his company, SS2 Legendary LLC.
This amount breaks the previous record of $9.5 million, which was once received by legendary quarterback Tom Brady.
According to the report, 13 separate payments under the category “royalties and player marketing” were transferred to the Browns quarterback’s company.
Shedeur Sanders set for another mega payday
The majority of the funds players receive through the NFLPA come from group licensing agreements, through which players are compensated for the sale of jerseys, trading cards, video games, and other collectibles.
Sanders’ annual NFLPA earnings significantly outshine the total value of his four-year rookie contract, which is worth $4.647 million.
By the way: Sanders could also see a large payment next year, as he changed his jersey number in March. All jerseys that generated his licensing fees for his first NFL season must now be replaced.
