Baltimore Ravens extend historic winning streak

The Baltimore Ravens extend their historic winning streak on the first day of the NFL preseason thanks to a win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

A touchdown pass from quarterbacks Josh Johnson and Tyler Huntley and two field goals from kicker Justin Tucker gave the Baltimore Ravens a 20-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the first preseason game of the new NFL season.

Thanks to the victory, head coach John Harbaugh’s Ravens extended their historic winning streak in the preseason – Baltimore has won the past 24 games.

Harbaugh, who dispensed with “established starters” in the duel against the Eagles, said after the game: “It was a good start. We played with a lot of energy and urgency. We will use these games to improve and learn. I especially liked the defensive play in the second half.”

In the second half of the game, the Ravens’ defence did not allow a single point. The Eagles did, however, score a touchdown on an interception by their cornerback Eli Ricks. The following two-point conversion, which would have given the Eagles the lead, was thwarted by the defence.
