According to “ESPN” reporter Mike Reiss, a meeting between the head coach, owner Robert Kraft and president Jonathan Kraft is scheduled for next Monday.

“They will be looking for answers as to why things have deteriorated so dramatically this season,” the reporter said: “Robert Kraft is obviously very disappointed with the way this season has turned out, and people close to him tell me that disappointment has been so great that he has considered parting ways with Belichick.”

Apparently several teams with interest in Belichick

Belichick has been with the Patriots for more than two decades, winning the Super Bowl six times in that time. According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, there are several teams that are interested in Belichick should they actually part ways. The L.A. Chargers, for example, are considered a possible interested party.

Side note: According to Anderson, one of Belichick’s goals is to overtake Don Shula, who currently holds the NFL record for most wins as a head coach. But with the Patriots legend still 15 wins away, it would probably take the 71-year-old more than just one season to break the record.
