Tom Brady likely to replace Greg Olsen as TV pundit

With the retirement of Tom Brady and his entry as a TV pundit, Greg Olsen will probably be relegated to the second tier on “Fox Sports”. Olsen, however, takes it sportingly and feels reminded of his active career.

Greg Olsen is facing the biggest day in his TV career. The former tight end will be a pundit on “Fox Sports” for the Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, Olsen, who enjoys great popularity as a pundit, will probably not have too many more appearances on the big stage. Tom Brady, who has now ended his active career, will probably replace him. The quarterback legend signed a ten-year, $375 million contract to be that broadcaster’s lead analyst.

Olsen remains calm: “I knew what I was getting into “

In the autumn of 2024, Brady is to begin his expert career. This means that Olsen will be replaced by Brady as chief TV analyst in the 2024 season.

Olsen is cool about it. “I knew what I was getting into. When I sat in the seat, I knew that shadow was always going to be there,” Olsen said at a press conference before the Super Bowl.

Brady, in fact, had already secured his high-paying TV contract while he was still on the field as an active player.

“My approach this year has been very similar to my approach as a player. You can’t control that,” Olsen says, bringing a comparison.

“You can’t control the next draft pick they bring in to take your spot. You can’t control the next rookie, or in this case, the greatest football player of all time. My hope was to just go out there and show that I belonged.”

Continues Olsen, “I wanted to show that maybe I don’t have on my resume having been a quarterback on a great team. But as far as this job goes, I want to be the best expert I can be. That was my mission. That’s been my goal all year. And that could be one year, two years, ten years. “
