The Seattle Seahawks appear set to forgo filling the void left by Russell Wilson with an experienced quarterback. That’s what head coach Pete Carroll said.
Munich – Ever since the trade of Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, there has been speculation about the Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback future. A veteran starting quarterback is not on the roster.
In the 2022 NFL Draft, even the possibility of picking a talented passer was discarded. Only Levi Lewis of the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns made it to Seattle as an undrafted free agent.
The quarterback room is not too prominent with Drew Lock, Geno Smith, Jacob Eason and Lewis. Most recently, there were rumours that the Seahawks could therefore seek Baker Mayfield from the Cleveland Browns.
This follows a recent comment from Metcalf to @ShannonSharpe in which he said he expressed his belief that a deal will get done.

Caroll doesn’t believe in trade for quarterback
Now, however, it appears Seattle is satisfied with the pass rushers it has and therefore would forgo a trade. Coach Pete Carroll did state that the Seahawks could continue to look for options at the quarterback position.
But he also said on “ESPN”, “I don’t see us making a trade for anybody. I don’t see that.” So as of today, it’s safe to assume that the Seahawks quarterback for the 2022 season will be Lock, Smith, Eason or Lewis.
