Dallas Cowboys: Kelvin Joseph questioned by police over murder case

Kelvin Joseph, the cornerback of the Dallas Cowboys, was apparently involved in an argument that resulted in a murder case. The 22-year-old is being questioned by police as a result.

Munich/Dallas – Kelvin Joseph is facing an unpleasant interview.

According to information from “ESPN”, the Dallas Cowboys cornerback is being questioned in connection with a murder case. A 20-year-old man named Cameron Ray was shot dead on 18 March after an altercation with several people. Joseph is said to have been among this group.

In video footage obtained by Dallas station “KDFW-TV”, one of the people involved was wearing a YKDV necklace. This description apparently applies to Joseph, who wears the rap name “YKDV Bossman Fat” around his neck. The 22-year-old has already released songs under this name.

His lawyer Barry Sorrels now admitted that Joseph was in the car from which the fatal shots were fired. He himself, however, was not the perpetrator. “Kelvin Joseph did not shoot Cameron Ray,” the lawyer said. “Mr. Ray’s death is a tragedy and Kelvin extends his deepest condolences to the family. On the night of March 17, Kelvin was unarmed and did not seek violence. He was in a situation that escalated without his knowledge or consent.

Dallas Cowboys speak out

His employer has now also spoken to the press about the incident. “The Dallas Cowboys are aware of the tragic incident that occurred in Dallas on March 18. First and foremost, our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Mr. Ray. The organisation is aware of Kelvin Joseph’s possible connection to this incident. We are in contact with Dallas law enforcement and have notified the NFL office. We have no further comment at this time. “An NFL spokesperson said the matter is under review by the league.

Joseph played in college for the LSU Tigers and the Kentucky Wildcats. He was selected in the second round at No. 44 by Dallas in the 2021 NFL Draft, but suffered an injury right at the start of the season. He played in ten games and recorded 16 tackles.
