A female journalist is causing a stir in the NFL with a question to Bill Belichick. She is celebrated for her courage, even by Belichick’s former quarterback Tom Brady. He is deeply impressed.

Munich – Actually, the colleague’s question was not that unusual. Nevertheless, she has been celebrated for days for asking Bill Belichick for his New Year’s resolutions.

Depending on the mood of the New England Patriots coach, such a non-football question can sometimes backfire. It didn’t, despite the Patriots’ 21-33 loss to the Buffalo Bills and a limited mood on the part of the already grumpy coach.

“I want to be as brave and courageous as she is by asking coach Belichick that question after a loss,” Brady said on his weekly “Let’s Go!” podcast, joking, “That’s what I want for the new year.”

The 44-year-old reiterated how “great” the action had been, saying, “Good for them. I could have predicted that response. Normally it’s not the best time to ask a coach something like that, after a tough loss.”

Instead, Brady was a little more forthcoming about his own resolutions. Surprise: his eighth Super Bowl win.
