Cole Beasley has been tested positive for Corona. The Buffalo Bills wide receiver then makes a crazy statement and attacks not only the rules of the NFL.
Munich – The NFL is currently struggling with a large number of Corona infections. Several games have already had to be postponed because too many professionals are out. Now it has also hit Cole Beasley.
The Buffalo Bills wide receiver tested positive and was placed on the Covid list by his team.
The 32-year-old, who has spoken out against a Corona vaccination several times in the past, subsequently issued a confused statement.
“Virus doesn’t stop me, the rules do “
On Instagram, Beasley made his opinion known: “Just to be clear, Covid is not stopping me from playing this game. The rules do,” his channel read.
In doing so, the receiver specifically attacked the NFL’s health protocol. “Vaccinated players now play with Covid every week because they don’t get tested,” Beasley wrote, offering a cryptic theory: “Thanks to everyone who supports me. To everyone else, if you don’t understand what’s going on, there’s nothing anyone can do for you.”
It is not the first time he has attracted attention with such statements. During the past season, he already made himself the face of the anti-vaccination campaign several times.
His most recent post was also responded to by teammate Jordan Poyer. The Bills safety punctuated the Beasley statement with a “100-point symbol” and a bold exclamation point.
Bills guard Jon Feliciano, who had to briefly visit a hospital due to a Corona infection, also wrote under his teammate’s post, “When I got those monoclonal antibodies I felt so much better!!!! Why aren’t we promoting treatments for Covid?”
Beasley replies briefly, succinctly and again alienatingly, “Because then they can’t make money on the vaccine lol. “
Beasley misses most important game of the year
Due to his Corona infection, Beasley will be out for Week 16. This means the wide receiver will miss arguably the most important game of the year.
The Bills currently sit in second place in the AFC East with a record of 8-6. Sunday’s divisional duel is against the New England Patriots, who lead the AFC East with just one more win.
Anyway, the season has been disappointing for Beasley in recent weeks. After a solid start to the NFL year, he has only recorded over 50 receiving yards once and not a single touchdown in the past seven games.
