In the spring, the first projections emerge regarding when injured players are expected to return. The Green Bay Packers are now providing an update on two players.
The Green Bay Packers were hit twice last season, and in places that really hurt. Two key players went down, which negatively impacted the team’s structure.
First, it was Tucker Kraft. The tight end was performing well until he tore his ACL in November, bringing his season to an abrupt end. In eight games, Kraft caught 32 passes for 489 yards and scored six touchdowns.
Packers: Parsons also tore his ACL
And as if that weren’t enough, another blow followed shortly before the end of the year. Micah Parsons, already one of the cornerstones of the defense, also tore his ACL in December.
His first season in Green Bay? Also cut short. Parsons tallied 12.5 sacks, twelve tackles for loss, and 27 quarterback hits. Stats that show just how important he was.
It was two holes at once, which caused the season to take a different turn. They still made it to the playoffs, but their run ended in the Wild Card Round.
However, there are positive signs for 2026, as General Manager Brian Gutekunst explained in an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio.
Green Bay Packers: Tuck and Parsons on the Right Track
“Both are making great progress. Tuck is here every day and is even a little ahead of schedule, which is partly because his injury happened earlier than Micah’s. But Micah is an exceptional athlete—that’s evident in his rehab right now. He’s also on a very good path,” said Gutekunst.
Gutekunst expects both players to be ready to return early in the season: “We fully expect both of them to return at the start of the season. And they will play an important role in our plans.”
