Kirk Cousins has not yet ended his career, but the Atlanta Falcons quarterback is already moving to the TV studio.
Kirk Cousins, quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, will work as a guest analyst for CBS during the next two playoff rounds.
He will join the NFL Today team and commentate on the Divisional Round and Conference Championships for one of the major networks covering the NFL.
The 37-year-old already has experience in this field: last year, he worked for ESPN during the divisional round. He canceled a planned guest appearance on NBC during the Falcons’ bye week in the 2024 season at short notice.
Atlanta Falcons: Cousins replaces his new boss Matt Ryan
The playmaker, whose contract was restructured in recent weeks, is thus preparing for a future TV career. Cousins is already considered a good speaker at his press conferences.
Curiously, Matt Ryan held this position during the Wild Card Round. However, he withdrew from the network because he is to be involved in the Falcons’ operational business and is currently looking for a new head coach for the franchise.
This makes Cousins the successor to his boss, who in turn was his predecessor as playmaker in Atlanta.
