NFL – Aaron Rodgers’ first play with the Pittsburgh Steelers goes wrong – Quarterback reacts to horror debut

Aaron Rodgers experiences a horror debut in his first training session with the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the star quarterback takes it with humor.

That’s not how Aaron Rodgers imagined it.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ new star quarterback had an unfortunate debut in training with his new NFL franchise.

The 41-year-old’s very first pass in training with the Steelers at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe was intercepted.

Rodgers’ teammate Patrick Queen caught the ball.

The veteran has now also commented on the scene. Rodgers took the faux pas in stride.

“I’m going to throw a few interceptions,” “A-Rod” told reporters, “but I’m also going to throw a few touchdowns.”

And continuing: “It’s good to get that behind me. Anyone who has watched me train over the years knows that you want to try certain throws at certain times. Anyone who has watched me in games knows that I’ve been pretty good at taking care of the football over the years. So there are definitely going to be interceptions.”

“I’m going to try to incorporate certain things. You have to deal with a little sweat on the ball every now and then. So it’s going to be a good challenge for me to throw every day in this heat, and I’m looking forward to it,” the playmaker continued.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Rodgers raves about Metcalf

Rodgers played for the New York Jets in the 2024 season and moved to the Steelers in the offseason. On the “Pat McAfee Show,” the 41-year-old said: “DK is a role model. He’s also a big reason why I’m in Pittsburgh.”

He is referring to wide receiver DK Metcalf. The two pros got to know each other in recent months, as Rodgers revealed.

“At the beginning of the year, I didn’t know DK at all. He said, ‘I train every day at 6 a.m.’ I thought, okay, this guy has discipline and drive. I asked, ‘How about 8 a.m., because I have to drive from Malibu to UCLA?’ He said, ‘Yeah, that’s fine.’ He’s not just a role model, he’s a really solid person,” reported the four-time MVP.
