Money shower for the Kelce brothers: Amazon will probably pay a monster sum for exclusive rights to the “New Heights” podcast
Travis and Jason Kelce already enjoy legendary status in the NFL, now they are making real money with their joint podcast “New Heights”.
As officially announced on Tuesday, the major corporation Amazon has secured exclusive rights to the podcast for three years. In future, “New Heights” will be available on the Amazon platform Wondery earlier than on other podcast providers, and users will also be able to access an ad-free edition.
Amazon is reportedly paying a lot of money for this deal; according to Bild, the company is paying 107 million dollars to the Kelces.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be working with Wondery for the next phase of ‘New Heights’. We love this series and the fan base that has grown with us over the last two seasons,” the brothers said in a press release.
Wondery CEO Jen Sargent called the brothers’ podcast “fun” and “relevant,” highlighting its “unprecedented insider access to the NFL season and professional sports. ”
The podcast’s user numbers have gone through the roof, especially since the announcement of Travis Kelce’s relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift. “New Heights” is now one of the most popular podcasts in the USA.
In sporting terms, 34-year-old Travis Kelce is aiming for his fourth Super Bowl victory with the Kansas City Chiefs in the coming season. His brother Jason, who is two years older, ended his career after last season and will work as an analyst for “ESPN.”
