The New England Patriots selected receiver Javon Baker in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. The rookie is not lacking in confidence
In the 2024 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots focused on offense.
In addition to new quarterback Drake Maye, who was picked third, wide receiver Javon Baker will also play in Foxborough in the future.
And the fourth-round pick (110th overall) is definitely convinced of his qualities. “Come to the home stadium and bring your popcorn. That’s all I can tell you. Bring your popcorn. I get people in wheelchairs to stand up,” the 22-year-old was quoted as saying by “ESPN” last week.
He went one better on Instagram a few days later. In a clip that apparently shows Baker during a training session, he says to the camera: “There aren’t ten receivers in America better than me. You guys have lost your minds. “

In this year’s college talent draft alone, 17 pass receivers were picked ahead of Baker – including his new teammate Ja’Lynn Polk, who went 37th overall to the Patriots. In a few months, Baker, who most recently suited up for the UCF Knights, can put his money where his mouth is.
