Super Bowl LVII: Halftime show with Rihanna

The NFL has signed a real superstar for the halftime show at Super Bowl LVII in Glendale: Superstar Rihanna will take the stage during halftime of the big final game on 12 February

Munich – The cat is out of the bag: US superstar Rihanna will perform at the halftime show as part of the upcoming Super Bowl in Glendale. The singer and the NFL confirmed this in lockstep on social media on Sunday.

Nine-time Grammy winner Rihanna is one of the most successful R&B singers in the world, but has not released a new album since 2016. It is clear that fans are now hoping for new music from the 34-year-old. Her biggest hits include songs like “Umbrella”, “Don’t Stop The Music” or “Disturbia”.

Rihanna and Super Bowl – wasn’t there something? Yes, she had cancelled an appearance at the Super Bowl 2019 in the past, back then as support for Colin Kaepernick. “I couldn’t dare do something like that. Who would benefit from it? Not my people,” Rihanna said in a Vogue interview.

The Football League had last announced that its upcoming Halftime Show would be presented by Apple. The show, featuring popular pop artists, is the most-watched music performance of the year on TV.

120 million to watch Half Time Show 2022

The halftime show at Super Bowl 2022 featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lama was watched by more than 120 million people.
