Bradberry was responsible for Philadelphia’s momentous penalty for defensive holding in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl against the very Smith-Schuster that set up the Chiefs’ game-winning field goal.

The player took responsibility for the thrown flag afterwards, admitting that it would have been the right call despite the controversial reaction to the decision from the officials.

After the unnecessary subsequent jibe from the Chiefs pass receiver, the expected shitstorm ensued.

And it didn’t stop there. Emotions were also just bursting out of Bradberry’s Eagles teammates.

Eagles star A.J. Brown takes JuJu Smith-Schuster to task

First, star receiver A.J. Brown spoke up. “Congratulations, you guys deserve it,” he began his tweet still diplomatic, only to really lash out:

JuJu Smith-Schuster gets rebuke from NFL stars

Brown should have been just the beginning, however, as the next Eagles star responded immediately to the ongoing affronts.

Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson then attacked Smith-Schuster with a series of harsh tweets. His first blow came in the form of a quote tweet. “School boys acting gangsta.”

Less than a minute later, the pass defender tweeted again, “JuJu ran away from me when I checked him on the play. “

Gardner-Johnson pointed out that he had thrown more interceptions this season (six) than Smith-Schuster had even scored touchdowns in 2022 (three), adding wryly that perhaps he should retrain from safety to wide receiver.

Unsurprisingly, Smith-Schuster didn’t take that lying down and retaliated again. First, the 26-year-old posted a video of Gardner-Johnson being assaulted on the field by Bears receiver Javon Wims during the 2020 season, writing, “Absolutely. I ran to the sideline to call him out. “
