Twisted knee! New Orleans Saints worry about Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston of the New Orleans Saints is injured in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The quarterback twists his knee on an irregular play by an opponent and has to be carted off the field.

Munich/New Orleans – Big worries for the New Orleans Saints about Jameis Winston!

The quarterback twisted his left knee badly in Sunday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and had to be led off the field.

The injury happened when Winston was brought down by Bucs linebacker Devin White with an irregular horse collar tackle.

Siemian takes over for Winston

The 27-year-old was then examined in the medical tent on the touchline. After a few minutes he was led out of the tent supported and driven out of the stadium.

Initially, Winston was still listed as “questionable”, but a little later the Saints announced that the quarterback will definitely not return.

Third-string quarterback Trevor Siemian took over for Winston, as true backup Taysom Hill is out with a concussion he suffered most recently against the Washington football team.
