The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are apparently struggling with declining attendance. There are reportedly plenty of tickets left against the Atlanta Falcons

Since Tom Brady left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it’s not just athletically that things have gone a bit downhill for the franchise.

The end of the Brady era is evident in the Bucs’ attendance numbers as well.

According to a Bucs fan forum – “joebucsfan.com” – there are reportedly “thousands” of tickets left for Tampa’s upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

According to the forum report, the cheapest tickets start at $70 – but resellers are now said to be offering tickets for well under $40 in order to get the tickets sold at all.

Hard to believe compared to the previous week. In Week 6, just under 66,000 spectators visited Raymond James Stadium for the Bucs’ home game against the Detroit Lions.

However, in large part, Lions fans made sure the stadium was nearly full.

Almost 70,000 spectators fit into the Buccaneers’ home stadium – during special events, the capacity can even be increased to 75,000.

But those days seem to be history in Tampa for now. Granted: The Falcons aren’t the most attractive opponent now either, but in the time under Brady, there were no games with this many tickets left.

Brady grandstand has been dismantled

That there would be a loss of spectators was clear to all concerned. Buccaneers officials had already dismantled a grandstand before the season, which was added specifically due to high ticket demand in the Brady era.

The “Krewe’s Nest” grandstand section seated 3,600 more spectators. In the last Brady season, the Buccaneers had an attendance average of 68,988.

Before Brady came to Tampa – in 2019 – the average was just 51,898.And in 2023? In the current season, an average of around 64,752 spectators still visited the stadium after three games.

The game against the Falcons, however, is now expected to lower the average somewhat.
