Munich – Tampa Bay Buccaneers centre Ryan Jensen has apparently suffered a serious injury. This is reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
According to the report, the 31-year-old suffered a serious knee injury during the Bucs’ practice. The exact diagnosis, however, is still pending.
According to Rapoport, Jensen still has to go through some tests and hopes to get the results in the coming days.
Jensen 2020 Super Bowl champion with Bucs
Jensen has already been selected to the Pro Bowl as a centre and his absence would be a bitter loss for Tampa Bay and quarterback Tom Brady. The US native was picked in the sixth round at 203rd overall in the 2013 draft by the Baltimore Ravens.
Through 2017, Jensen played for the Ravens before agreeing to a four-year contract with the Buccaneers in March 2018. Two years later, he won the Super Bowl with the team against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Just this March, Jensen signed a fresh three-year, $39 million deal in Tampa Bay. Now the long layoff looms.
