Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Betting odds predict Tom Brady and Co. will fall.

With the start of the NFL regular season just around the corner, numerous fans rush to the betting shops and place their predictions for the new season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are also one of the popular teams – unfortunately, many gamblers don’t really seem to be convinced by Tom Brady and Co.

New York/Munich – In a few weeks it will be that time again: The NFL will start its new season.

The betting shops are already bustling, with thousands of fans placing their bets on the various outcomes of the coming season.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are once again in high demand this year, but bettors are increasingly putting their money on an unlucky season for the Florida franchise.

Betting on the NFL season: Is Tampa Bay facing disaster?!

Believing the data from betting provider “Caesars Sportsbook”, the Buccaneers are currently the fifth most popular team when it comes to betting on the worst record of the upcoming season.

The bookmaker is offering a whopping 350/1 odds on this scenario, with only bets on a disaster season for the Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers more popular so far.

A gambler from the state of Virginia did not take long and bet 300 US dollars on a complete collapse of the franchise. His winnings are quite something: $105,000 could end up in his account at the end of the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: negative betting odds are lonely

The Buccaneers also enjoy great popularity in another category: “Caesars Sportsbook” offers a value of 11.5 wins for its “over” and “under” bets – punters can thus put money on whether Tampa Bay will surpass this value in season wins or fail to do so.

According to current data, 87.8 percent of the bets placed are concentrated in the “under” range.

No other team has such a poor standing with bettors, with only the Arizona Cardinals (nine wins, 87.3%) and Chicago Bears (six wins, 85.1%) having similarly high values.

Not a few fans, then, seem to be expecting a collapse for the Buccaneers and their star quarterback. But can a true forecast for the 103rd NFL season be derived from these bets?

Statistically, there is something to be said against a poor showing by a team led by Tom Brady: During his 21 seasons as a starter, the 45-year-old never recorded a “losing record”, his worst record is limited to a 9-7 from 2002.
