Seattle Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett had to deal with significantly more problems during his COVID disease than his fellow players who were also infected. He now describes his suffering in an interview.

My mind just wandered because I was probably thinking too much. I was throwing up and I just had no energy. I hardly ate anything. I think I lost about eight pounds. “

Health issues with Lockett

The fact that the receiver was already back on the field last week was “a pretty big accomplishment for himself. I don’t want to say I had breathing problems, but I couldn’t really breathe out of my chest like I wanted to.”

The 29-year-old, who is double-vaccinated but has yet to receive a booster shot, spent a week on the COVID list and missed the game against the Los Angeles Rams.

“It frustrates you as an individual when you’ve dealt with the symptoms of COVID and seen what it was like in yourself. You really don’t know how it’s going to affect other people. “

Fantasy players as a problem

During his time in recovery, it was fantasy players in particular who became a problem for Lockett. “For me, it sucked to see people say, ‘Is Tyler going to play? Is Tyler going to play? I need him to help my fantasy team.’ It was like, well, I’m just trying to get through this,” the athlete continued.

He also said he had considered skipping the 2020 season altogether because of the pandemic.

Last week, he caught three passes for 30 yards in the game against the Chicago Bears.
