Seattle Seahawks unleash Adrian Peterson on San Francisco 49ers – “Had a good week”

Adrian Peterson may prove once again in Week 13 that he is still capable of greatness in the NFL. The Seattle Seahawks nominate him to play against the San Francisco 49ers.

Munich – No sooner has he arrived than he gets to prove himself. The Seattle Seahawks have elevated Adrian Peterson from the practice squad to the game-day squad for the divisional duel against the San Francisco 49ers.

The running back had joined the team just days earlier.

Carroll attests to Peterson’s “big impact “

“Adrian had a good week,” praised Head Coach Pete Carroll, adding, “It’s hard for outsiders to understand the impact a guy with that much experience can have. At a time when we’re struggling to win another game, he stepped in and had an immense impact.”

With Chris Carson out for the rest of the season with a neck injury and Rashaad Penny, Alex Collins and Travis Homer banged up, the Seahawks would have been left with only one pain-free running back in DeeJay Dallas.

So Peterson should get some snaps.

Peterson with one touchdown in three Titans appearances

The 2012 season MVP signed with the Tennessee Titans between Weeks 9 and 11, rushing for 82 yards including a touchdown on 27 rushes. Peterson is entering his 15th NFL season and has been selected to the Pro Bowl seven times.

The stakes are high for the Seahawks. After six losses in the last seven games and a record of 3-8, they need a winning streak to have a say in the play-off places.

They are currently two wins behind seventh place in the NFC. Seattle is the second-worst team in the conference. With 1,018 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground, Carroll’s team is in the bottom third of the rankings.
