Seahawks in playoffs thanks to Lions and win over Los Angeles Rams

The Seattle Seahawks get the job done with victory against the Los Angeles Rams. However, kicker Jason Myers causes major tremors in the Northwest

The Seattle Seahawks are in the playoffs. The team from the Northwest of the USA defeated division rival Los Angeles Rams 19:16 after overtime and thus completed their task.

The Seahawks then had to hope for a defeat or a draw by the Green Bay Packers – and were able to cheer on the night as the Detroit Lions prevailed over Green Bay.

The curious thing is that the Seahawks’ victory means that rival Detroit, of all teams, who are reliant on the Seahawks’ support, no longer have a chance of reaching the knockout rounds.

Geno Smith did not have a good day in the season-deciding game. The quarterback threw a touchdown pass to Tyler Lockett, but threw two interceptions, one of which was in overtime.

After all, running back Kenneth Walker stepped into the breach – he provided 114 yards of space through runs.

Kicker puts field goal attempt at the post

Kicker Jason Myers also caused a big upset, putting a 46-yard kick on the uprights with seconds left in regulation. However, he converted from 32 yards in overtime to give the Seahawks their ninth win of the season.

Super Bowl champion Los Angeles already had no chance of making the playoffs before their 12th loss of the season.
