Tashaun Gipson was one of the top performers for the San Francisco 49ers last NFL season. After the end of his contract, however, he is making less pleasant headlines
NFL pro Tashaun Gipson has been suspended for six games for taking banned performance-enhancing substances. This was reported by “ESPN”.
Gipson had spent the past two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and quickly worked his way up from a pure squad player to a top performer.
In the 2023 season, the safety played 16 games as a starter and recorded 60 tackles as well as a sack and an interception. He also played in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.
After his contract with the Bay Area ended, Gipson is currently a free agent. His NFL career began in 2012 as an undrafted free agent.
Before joining the 49ers, the now 33-year-old played for the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and Chicago Bears.
