Record NFL revenue: This is how much each team gets from the league

The national revenues of the best football league in the world will jump to a record high in 2021, according to sources. But only the Packers’ financial report will provide an exact picture of the situation.

Munich – Financial revelation around the NFL: each NFL team received a good $345 million in national revenue in the 2021 season, league-internal sources report. In total, that makes around eleven billion dollars for the league.

This is a record figure, twelve percent higher than in 2020.

The total includes national media rights, league sponsorships and shared revenues and royalties from various affiliates.

Green Bay Packers financial report provides insight

An insight into the league’s finances will be provided by the Green Bay Packers’ annual financial report. The franchise, which is the only team in the league without an owner, will release the report ahead of its shareholder meeting at the end of July.

The focus will be on the Packers’ national revenues, which are nearly identical for each franchise and a good indication of the financial situation of the best football league in the world.

For comparison, each team received about $309 million from the league in 2020.

This does not include the local revenue of each franchise. However, since 31 of the 32 teams are privately owned, these do not have to be reported either.
