Philadelphia Eagles’ Josh Sills acquitted in court.

Josh Sills of the Philadelphia Eagles was acquitted of rape and kidnapping charges by a court on Friday.

For Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard Josh Sills, his trial ended Friday on charges of raping and kidnapping a former high school classmate.

The 25-year-old was acquitted of all charges by a jury after three hours of deliberations. “I did nothing wrong,” Sills said in court, showing no emotion as the verdict was read, according to the Daily Mail.

Sills charge was brought just before Super Bowl

Sills was specifically accused of forcing his former classmate to perform oral sex in his truck for around 20 minutes in 2019. That’s why charges were also filed against him in February 2023, about two weeks before the Eagles’ Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The kidnapping charge stemmed from Sills allegedly forcibly restraining the woman in his truck, according to media reports. But the NFL pro was acquitted of that charge as well.

According to his lawyer Michael Connick, Sills is now expected to return to training with the Philadelphia Eagles in the next few days.
