Packers: Aaron Rodgers arrived in Green Bay

Aaron Rodgers returned to the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday afternoon German time. The day before, the franchise had made a number of concessions to the superstar quarterback who was eager to transfer.

It’s the picture so many Green Bay Packers fans have been waiting so long for.

Aaron Rodgers returned to Green Bay on Tuesday afternoon German time, the franchise documenting the superstar quarterback’s arrival with a picture on social media. In it, the 37-year-old can be seen wearing oversized mirrored sunglasses and a fan T-shirt from the series “The Office”. There is even the hint of a smile on Rodgers’ face.

For a long time, it was unclear whether Rodgers would actually return to Green Bay. That’s because the signal caller had fallen out with the Packers’ leadership and was apparently willing to switch. While fans should now be relieved for now that Rodgers has traveled to training camp, it remains to be seen what Rodgers’ return is worth to the Packers.

Green Bay Packers must make concessions to Aaron Rodgers

Because “The Pack” apparently had to make an enormous number of drastic concessions to their superstar to get him to return. The last year of his contract in 2023 will apparently be cancelled, and in addition Rodgers cannot be tied down against his will via franchise tag. The Packers will discuss the situation of their quarterback as early as next year – and will probably comply with a trade request then.

So it could be that Rodgers has arrived in Green Bay for the last time to prepare for a new NFL season. For now, though, the Packers are glad Aaron Rodgers is back at all.
