After his “MAGA” statement, the NFL has punished Nick Bosa. Nevertheless, the 49ers star does not regret his politically motivated action and followed up with another provocative action on the field in Week 10.
Defensive End Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers was asked by the NFL to pay for his political “statement” just a few days ago. As “ESPN” wants to have learned, the league fined Bosa $ 11,255.
The penalty doesn’t seem to have affected the star defender much, though. In Week 10, Bosa provoked again and performed the “Trump Dance” after a sack in a 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Further punishments are apparently not accepted by him.

Bosa, who is known to be an ardent Trump supporter, revealed in an interview that he was aware of the potential punishment in advance. However, he has no regrets about his political position: “It was worth it,” said the 27-year-old.
The Washington Post had previously reported that the NFL would take another look at the San Francisco 49ers star’s statement in light of a possible sanction.
What happened? The 49ers’ defensive end had crashed his quarterback Brock Purdy’s interview after the 49ers’ 30-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys to present viewers of the US channel NBC with a white and gold cap bearing the inscription “MAGA – Make America Great Again”, Donald Trump’s slogan.
Nick Bosa: “I think it’s an important time”
At the post-game press conference, he commented, “I’m not going to talk about it too much, but I think it’s an important time.”
On November 5, the US held its presidential election. Republican Trump was able to clearly outpace Kamala Harris and is now moving into the White House for the second time.
Bosa has been an avowed Republican for years. However, political gestures or statements around NFL games are not actually allowed.
“The league will not allow any team or player to wear, display or otherwise convey messages through helmet decals, wristbands, jersey patches, mouthpieces or other items,” the rules state.
