NFL: New sponsor endorses guns! Dallas Cowboys in criticism

The Dallas Cowboys agree on a sponsorship deal with the “Black Rifle Coffee Company”. Critics accuse the company of gun glorification and condemn the deal. The Cowboys remain silent.

Munich – “Armed Helicopter”, “AK-47” or “Silencer Creamy”. The “Black Rifle Company” offers a whole range of different coffees with military-related names on its homepage.

The Dallas Cowboys presented the company, founded by veterans, as a new partner – and earned massive criticism for it.

Cowboys earn criticism for sponsor

Several serious assassinations have recently reignited the debate in the USA on the issue of gun ownership. The Cowboys have been accused of lack of empathy, bad timing and gun glorification with the deal.

As part of the unveiling of the new sponsor, the Dallas team gave away two tickets to a home game and a one-year subscription to the coffee company. The franchise around owner Jerry Jones has not yet commented on the sponsorship deal.
