NFL: Mayfield moves to the Panthers

Quarterback Baker Mayfield moves from the Cleveland Browns to the Carolina Panthers within the Professional Football League NFL.

Cologne – Quarterback Baker Mayfield is moving from the Cleveland Browns to the Carolina Panthers within the Professional Football League NFL. This was announced by the franchise from the US state of North Carolina. Mayfield (27) still has to pass the Panthers’ medical check before he can sign his contract.

Mayfield was last demoted by the Browns, who had signed scandal quarterback Deshaun Watson. However, it remains to be seen when and if the 26-year-old will actually play for Cleveland.

More than 20 women have made allegations of sexual harassment against Watson, and while the playmaker is no longer being prosecuted, he is still facing several civil suits. The league also reserves the right to suspend Watson. A decision on this is still pending.

Mayfield is expected to lead the Panthers to success again, the team missed the play-offs in each of the past four years.
