NFL: Is Russell Wilson’s career coming to an end? A new job apparently already awaits

Russell Wilson is set to take on a new role in the NFL. He could be stepping into the shoes of a legendary figure.

Despite his backup role, Russell Wilson played in six games for the New York Giants last NFL season. Now, he could be making the transition from the field to the sidelines.

According to a report by “The Athletic,” the 37-year-old is set to take on a role in U.S. television. He could succeed Matt Ryan at CBS.

The former quarterback is reportedly set to serve as an analyst on the “NFL Today” show. It remains to be seen whether Wilson will accept this role or if he would prefer to remain part of the NFL as an active player.

He is also reportedly in talks with the New York Jets to serve as Geno Smith’s backup quarterback for the upcoming season.

Wilson is in talks and has previously been a guest on the show

Ryan had left the show because he will be representing his former franchise, the Atlanta Falcons, as president of football operations.

According to the report, the TV network is already in advanced talks with Wilson.

Last season, he was already part of the TV crew when the Giants had their bye week.
