NFL International Games: All games at a glance

The NFL is coming to Europe and Central America. For us, of course, the focus is on the game in Germany, but there are four more games outside the USA.

Munich – After a long wait and even longer speculation, it is now official: The first NFL game on German soil is Seattle Seahawks at Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Munich’s Allianz Arena.

But there are four other games outside the USA in addition to the hotly anticipated Germany game.

Packers in London, Cardinals in Mexico

For the first time, the Green Bay Packers are embarking on an overseas trip. Since the NFL International Series was implemented, they are the only team that has not played a regular-season game outside the US.

That changes in 2022, when the Packers host the New York Giants at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a rematch of the 2016 playoff game, scheduled for Game Day 5.

Also in the British capital, the New Orleans Saints duel the Minnesota Vikings a week earlier, also at the Spurs’ imposing arena.

Matchday 8 sees a familiar team return to England for the Londoners, with the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Denver Broncos at Wembley Stadium.

It is not only in Europe that games are played, but also in Mexico. In the neighbouring country of the USA, the Arizona Cardinals play a home game. After a two-year break, the San Francisco 49ers will take on the Cardinals at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The game is on Matchday 11 and will be a prime-time game on Monday night US time.
