DK Metcalf signs a high-dollar contract with the Seattle Seahawks. Now the wide receiver admits to bluffing in negotiations with the franchise

Munich – Negotiations between wide receiver DK Metcalf and the Seattle Seahawks took a long time, but both parties have now reached an agreement on a new contract.

The pass receiver will receive 72 million US dollars for three years, and the 24-year-old’s training strike is also finally off the table.

Before Metcalf signed his new contract, however, he tried to make the franchise bosses sweat. The athlete admitted to bluffing in talks with general manager John Schneider.

He tried to make Schneider believe that he would leave the club next year during the free agency period if he did not get the contract he wanted.

“As much as I bluffed in front of John, I’m not going to leave,” the receiver declared.

Metcalf was drafted in the second round by the Seahawks in 2019 and has been active for the franchise ever since.
