NFL – Detroit Lions: Arrest warrant! Escape! Turmoil surrounding cornerback Cameron Sutton

Where is Cameron Sutton? The Detroit Lions cornerback has been wanted by the police for two weeks. To no avail. There is a warrant out for his arrest

Turmoil surrounding Cameron Sutton. The Detroit Lions cornerback has apparently disappeared. At least the police have been looking for him since March 7, but can’t find him.

The charge: domestic violence by strangulation. An arrest warrant has also been issued.

The police were called to a house in Lutz, Florida, on March 7. Sutton is said to have beaten a woman, but fled and can no longer be found.

The case became public after police asked for assistance in the search by posting a social media post on Wednesday.

The Lions also commented. “We learned of the current situation regarding Cam Sutton this morning,” the Lions stated. “We will continue to monitor the situation and have no further comment at this time. “

“We have attempted to contact (Sutton),” a police spokesman told The Detroit News. “We called him, no answer. He’s been avoiding us. We’ve exhausted all leads. He has vehicles and a house in a neighborhood near us, but he hasn’t been there and we haven’t been able to catch him there.”

Sutton went to the Lions as a free agent last season, signing a three-year, $33 million contract after spending his first six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He played in all 17 regular-season games and three playoff games for the Lions. He totaled 60 tackles, six passes defended and one interception.
