That would be something! Rob Gronkowski is apparently considering a comeback. The tight end apparently already has a team in mind for which he would like to play.
Rob Gronkowski has won the Super Bowl four times and actually retired from his NFL career in 2022.
However, “Gronk” doesn’t seem to have had enough yet. The 35-year-old is said to be thinking about a comeback.
This is reported by journalist and podcaster Cecil Lammey on the pages of the radio station “Denver Sports 104.3”.
According to various sources, the tight end is ready to return to the field. And according to Lammey, Gronkowski would like to play for the Denver Broncos.
Gronk comeback? NFL insider clearly disagrees
And indeed, the Broncos could use a reliable and experienced tight end to give Nix another option in the passing game.
Gronkowski himself is said to have kept fit and most recently trained in the winter sports resort of Vail in Colorado. This would have prepared him well for the thin air in Denver.
Understandably, the rumor caused quite a stir on social media.
A few hours after the report first appeared, Ian Rapoport, the most well-known NFL insider, denied the rumor with the simple words on X: “No. Nonsense.”
Nope. Nonsense. https://t.co/3lKzrPKStB

But at least “Gronk” returned after his first official career with the New England Patriots in 2019 and won his fourth Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady in the spring of 2021.
