At the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl parade, a video of quarterback Matthew Stafford ignoring a fallen photographer went viral. Now he and his wife Kelly are responding: all bills will be paid by the Stafford family.

Munich/Los Angeles – While exuberance and celebration took centre stage at the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl parade, quarterback Matthew Stafford made a faux pas.

Stafford watched as a photographer fell and didn’t seem to care. Only his wife Kelly rushed to her aid.

New camera and hospital bills at Stafford’s expense

Now the Stafford couple has responded and spoken out about the injured photographer named Kelly Smiley. “We have contacted Kelly Smiley following the incident yesterday and would like to sincerely apologise,” Kelly Stafford said.

“We will of course pay all hospital bills as well as the photographer’s equipment, we promised her that. We wish her a speedy recovery,” the wife of the 13-year NFL quarterback continued.

On her social media account, Smiley announced that she had suffered a fracture to her spine in the fall. She also said that two of her cameras were broken.
