NFL: Aaron Rodgers will probably forgo toe surgery

For weeks Aaron Rodgers has been bothered by a broken toe. Surgery is probably out of the question despite bye-week.

Munich/Green Bay – Aaron Rodgers has been dealing with a broken little toe for weeks now. In the meantime, the quarterback is said to have considered toe surgery in the upcoming bye week.

After the Packers’ 36-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams, Rodgers said his broken toe “felt fine most of the game.” He wants to sleep on it one night and then decide with the Packers’ medical staff whether or not surgery is necessary, Mike Florio of “NBC Sport” reports.

Last week, Rodgers was still on painkillers against the Minnesota Vikings after a player unintentionally stepped on his affected foot. Against the Rams, Rodgers had gone without painkillers.

Rogers bets on time

According to the “NFL Network”, the quarterback plans to forgo surgery. On Twitter, “NFL Network” insider Ian Rapport wrote. “Time is key this time. The hope is that during bye week the injury heals and things improve.” After the break, Green Bay will face the Chicago Bears in Week 14.

Aaron Rodgers had broken his little toe during his Corona quarantine.
