NFL – Aaron Rodgers probably failed with offer to dream team – did star QB make crazy demand?

Aaron Rodgers doesn’t have an NFL team yet. An attempt to convince the Minnesota Vikings failed, according to a report.

An NFL season without Aaron Rodgers? Possible!

Most teams already have their starting quarterback. Plus, the 2025 NFL Draft is still on the horizon to fill out the roster with talent.

The Pittsburgh Steelers still seem to be interested in A-Rod. Behind him, it gets thin. As “Sports Illustrated” reports, Rodgers got a rejection from the Minnesota Vikings.

The reason for this is said to be the 41-year-old’s conditions for signing.

Minnesota Vikings decide against Aaron Rodgers

The recovered J.J. McCarthy and Brett Rypien are listed as quarterbacks on the Vikings’ current roster. There would still be room for a QB, but not for Rodgers.

The former New York Jets playmaker is said to have offered himself to the franchise. But he insisted on going into the season as the undisputed QB1 and starting a run at the Super Bowl with the team.

He put all his eggs in one basket, so to speak. With him at the helm.

He would serve McCarthy as a mentor for the remainder of his career. However, McCarthy would have to take a seat on the bench for another year after his injury.

J.J. McCarthy the face of the Vikings’ future

A scenario that would give every Jets fan a sense of déjà vu – and one that has probably been met with too much skepticism by the Vikings. In Minnesota, it is said, they were able to come to terms with the idea of Rodgers serving as a mentor to McCarthy.

But the fact that Rodgers was not even willing to consider an open race for the starting job, but instead demanded a clear division of roles from the outset, apparently scared the team away too much.

The focus is on McCarthy and his full recovery, as well as his development into the face of the franchise.

So there is no room for Rodgers either.
