New Orleans – A setback for the New Orleans Saints!
The team announced Friday night that Head Coach Sean Payton has tested positive for the Corona virus. Payton, who has been fully vaccinated, must now remain in isolation for at least ten days before being allowed to return to the team.
Saints: Defensive coordinator steps in for Payton
In place of the Saints’ head coach, defensive coordinator Dennis Allen will now take charge for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Payton, who suffered from a Corona infection early in the pandemic, is expected to return to his position on Dec. 27 against the Miami Dolphins.
