Munich/New Orleans – Running back Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints is facing a long suspension.

The 26-year-old had punched a man several times in a Las Vegas casino after the Pro Bowl in February 2022 and was arrested afterwards. He is now on trial for aggravated assault – his victim suffered a fractured eye socket.

Kamara is also facing a long ban in the NFL. As “NBC” reported with reference to a league source, Kamara is to be suspended for at least six weeks. However, it is still unclear when the league’s suspension will be announced. It usually waits until the court case is over.

The report also says that if Kamara is indeed suspended, salary payments for the New Orleans Saints star could also be suspended.
