While the Los Angeles Rams put in a good performance in their 26-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals, cornerback Derion Kendrick caused a ruckus just a short time later.
The week started anything but well for Derion Kendrick. A few hours after his Los Angeles Rams’ 26-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals, the cornerback was stopped by police early Monday morning and arrested a short time later, according to a report by “tmz”.
According to the report, the 23-year-old was initially stopped for a traffic violation. During the subsequent search of his car, officers then allegedly found a weapon.
The sixth-round pick from the 2022 draft was therefore charged with “carrying a concealed weapon”.
Rams head coach Sean McVay would not comment in detail on the charges to “NFL.com”: “We’re continuing to gather information on that. Until then, I’m just going to leave it at that until I have all the pertinent information.
He went on to say this Monday, “I don’t think it would be appropriate for me to talk about things that I don’t fully know, other than I know he was arrested this morning, and that’s where we’re at. “
It is still unclear when and if Kendrick could return to practice with the LA Rams. In the current NFL season, the two-time college champion was on the field in all six games. He made 25 tackles in the process.
