Dez Bryant trains for NFL return – with Patrick Mahomes

Dez Bryant wants to go back to the NFL.

The former wide receiver is working on his comeback. To go to the camps fit, the former pro bowler is looking for a training partner. No one less than the Super Bowl MVP.

The former Dallas Cowboy has not played a game since the 2017 season. To be fit for the return, the Wide Receiver has grabbed a special passer:

none other than Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes.

The two trained together on Friday at the APEC training centre in Fort Worth near Dallas. Mahomes had already kept himself fit during the last off-season at APEC.

“I want to play football again and I will,” Bryant says optimistically. “If not for the Dallas Cowboys, then where a door opens for me.”

Bryant had been released in 2017 after nine years with the Cowboys and had torn his Achilles tendon just days after signing with the New Orleans Saints in November 2018.

The extent to which the now 31-year-old Bryant is still passionate about football is illustrated by his second announcement: “No matter what, I want to help. Even if it’s just to help the quarterbacks or running backs. Or to tell the wide receivers certain things. “Either way, I want to help. I just miss football.”
