Green Bay Packers: Praise for Aaron Rodgers from Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Bill Belichick doesn’t really have much to say in press conferences. But when asked about Aaron Rodgers, the New England Patriots coach went into raptures, praising the Green Bay Packers quarterback to the skies

Munich – Aaron Rodgers has only faced the New England Patriots twice in his NFL career. Week four will now mark the third meeting between the four-time MVP and coaching legend Bill Belichick.

On Wednesday, the Patriots head coach was asked about the importance of setting up the defensive coverage in such a way that it misleads Rodgers. Unlike usual, the 70-year-old was eager to talk: “We try to do that every week. We try not to give the quarterbacks more information than they need. We certainly don’t want to give him more than what he already has. He’s seen it all a million times. You don’t pass the ball.”

Belichick even indulged in a little praise of Aaron Rodgers: “He doesn’t make a lot of mistakes – he never has. He’s a very resourceful quarterback. He makes the plays that are there, and he makes a couple of plays that aren’t really there. And then he rarely makes a mistake when he has a bad play. There are very, very few of those. “

Bill Belichick lavishes praise on Rodgers

“I think that’s one of the things that makes him a great quarterback. He’s got a good arm, he’s got a good touch. He’s accurate. He helps the team win. He does the things they need to do to win. And he makes some plays that not a lot of guys can make. He pays a lot of attention to the ball and the flow of the offense. He has a lot of freedom and he makes a lot of good decisions,” said the three-time Coach of the Year.

While Rodgers won the first meeting with Belichick in 2014 (26-21), the New England Patriots had the better end on their side in 2018 (31-17). In those games Rodgers completed 48 of 81 passes for 627 yards and four touchdowns (no interceptions).
