Munich – The contract poker including training strike of DK Metcalf with the Seattle Seahawks is over.

As Mike Garafolo of the “NFL Network” reports, the Seahawks and the wide receiver have agreed on a three-year contract for a total of 72 million US dollars. $58.2 million of that is guaranteed to Metcalf.

With a signing bonus of $30 million, the 24-year-old also sets an NFL-wide wide receiver record. The average annual salary of 24 million makes Metcalf currently the highest-paid player on the Seahawks roster. He replaces safety Jamal Adams ($17.5 million).

Metcalf was last playing under his rookie contract, which would have paid him a salary of just under four million dollars for the 2022 season. To increase pressure on the Seahawks in negotiations, Metcalf waived voluntary workout minicamps. He also did not participate in the Seahawks’ workouts this Wednesday.

In his first three NFL seasons, Metcalf totaled 216 catches for 3,170 yards and 29 touchdowns. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in the 2020 season.
