Detroit Lions: Amon-Ra St. Brown must stop practice

The Lions suffered a setback in the first joint practice between the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars: Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had to pull out of practice with an injury

The Detroit Lions will have to do without wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown in the coming days.

The German-American injured himself in the joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars. After a catch in a 7vs7 unit, he was only able to put light weight on his ankle when he got up. He did plan to return, but sat out the session completely.

The MRI revealed a mild ligament strain in the Lions’ number one receiver. So, in all likelihood, he will sit out the remaining preseason games. Even though he was probably only scheduled for a few snaps, if any.

The season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 7 is – as of now – not in danger for the 23-year-old.
