David Tepper, owner of the Carolina Panthers, threw a drink into the crowd from his box during the away game at the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now the punishment is known
What happened on the turf at Jacksonville’s TIAA Bank Field in Week 17 was hardly newsworthy.
The Jaguars’ 26-0 win over the Carolina Panthers was tough for long stretches and showed once again why the Panthers are the worst team in the NFL this season.
But the visitors from Charlotte not only performed poorly on the pitch, owner David Tepper also showed his worst side up in the stands. Out of frustration at his team’s inadequate performance, he apparently threw a drink at Jaguars fans in front of him.
The incident was filmed and broadcast on “X.”

Fine for Tepper
The sanction for Tepper is now known. The NFL has fined him 300,000 dollars.
“I want to apologize for my inappropriate behavior,” he said in a statement. “I am very passionate about my team and I deeply regret it,” said the 68-year-old. The Jaguars and the fan concerned will probably not press charges.
For the multi-billionaire, however, the 300,000 dollars are just peanuts. His fortune is estimated at around 21.8 billion dollars.
