Cardinals star DeAndre Hopkins still wants to fight against ban

Superstar DeAndre Hopkins still wants to fight against his doping ban and announces further investigations. But his chances of success are slim.

Munich – DeAndre Hopkins still can’t explain how the finding came about six weeks after his suspension for violating the NFL’s doping guidelines.

On the sidelines of a charity softball game, the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver reiterated his desire to fight the six-game suspension.

“We’re still in the process of doing some investigation,” he said, according to KPNX’s Cameron Cox. “Hopefully we can get the number of games down a little bit before the season starts.”

He once again denied knowingly taking any banned substance. “It wasn’t me,” the 30-year-old affirmed, describing himself as a “natural talent. “

Hopkins: “This is contamination “

Only 0.1 per cent of the drug Ostarine had been detected in his body. “That’s an impurity and not anything I would have knowingly taken,” the star receiver defended himself.

His team and he were still trying to figure out how the substance got into his body.

However, it seems very unlikely at the moment that his suspension will actually be mitigated. The NFL’s rules clearly state that players are responsible for what enters their bodies – regardless of the circumstances.
