Brock Purdy leads San Francisco 49ers to Divisional Round of NFL playoffs.

The San Francisco 49ers follow Philadelphia and Kansas City into the Divisional Playoffs. Against the Seahawks, Mr. Irrelevant turns it up big.

The San Francisco 49ers have continued their winning streak and become the third team after the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs to make the Divisional Playoffs.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan’s team won their eleventh game in a row, defeating the Seattle Seahawks 41-23 (16-17).

San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy, who originally started the season as only the third-string quarterback for the 49ers, turned it on in a big way in the second half.

Purdy passed to Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell and Deebo Samuel for a touchdown each and ran for one on a quarterback sneak. In all, the seventh-round pick of the 2022 draft completed 18 passes for 332 yards.

On the Seahawks’ side, Geno Smith finished with two touchdowns, connecting with DK Metcalf on both occasions – the first for an interim 14-13 lead. Smith’s kickoffs accounted for 253 yards on 25 of 35 passing. But he also threw an interception in the second half.

The 49ers have another home game awaiting them in the Divisional Round, where they will face the winner of the Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Minnesota Vikings.
