The Atlanta Falcons have already conducted two interviews with Bill Belichick. Should they hire him as head coach, Josh McDaniels could also take on a role on the coaching staff.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels could reunite in Atlanta.
If Belichick takes over as Falcons coach, the former Las Vegas Raiders head coach could be hired as offensive coordinator, Rapoport reports.
McDaniels was part of the Patriots coaching staff under Belichick for 15 years, 13 of them as offensive coordinator. The coaching duo won six Super Bowls together in New England.
McDaniels failed miserably in his two stints as head coach: he was fired during his second season with both the Denver Broncos and the Raiders.
The Falcons have already conducted two interviews with Bill Belichick, but are also planning further interviews with other candidates.
